T-Mobile G2x Gingerbread OTA Update Out Now!

The long-awaited Gingerbread (2.3.3) update for T-Mobile’s Android-based G2x smartphone is finally available as an over the air update! A manual update has been available from LG’s website for several days now, but T-Mobile is making the update available via wireless, making the process a snap. It should address a lot of the freezing and random reboots that have plagued users since the device was released. Smiley Culture, 1962-2011

UK Reggae artist David Victor Emmanuel, better known as Smiley Culture, died of a stab wound today following a police raid on his home. Police arrived at his house with a warrant prepared to make an arrest when the injuries occurred. One would have to assume that it is connected to the charges of conspiracy to supply cocaine in September 2010. While it is unclear how Emmanuel’s injury took place, it’s hard to believe that it was self-inflicted.  Continue Reading
