The snow always makes my neighborhood look like it’s in the middle of nowhere, or maybe a Chrismas card. Oh wait, I am in the middle of nowhere…

I think back to my childhood every time it snows. I used to live in a neighborhood filled with children my age and there was an elderly woman who lived across the street. She had a really large yard – it stretched from one street to another. Once in a while, if there was rain after the snowfall, her entire yard would freeze over. It wouldn’t be frozen enough for ice skates or anything, but we’d all lie on our backs and use our legs to push ourselves away from her fence to see how far we could glide across the smooth, cold ground.
Things change dramatically once you’re an adult. Snow days dissapear, and the race to get outside to play in the snow becomes a race to get outside and clean your car off before missing the morning train. For as many reasons I hate dealing with the snow, I can think of just as many that make me hope that we get at least one decent snowfall before Spring arrives.

Anyway, enough with this depressing bs. I have a bunch of work to do in the next few weeks and don’t have any time to waste. I just started working on a Drupal plugin at work, and will most likely post it here once it’s complete. It redirects all users navigating to a page on your Drupal based site to another page, and then redirects them to their intended location after several seconds. It’s simple enough, and suprisingly there don’t seem to be any halfway decent plugins around that can already do this. I’m also going to burn some screens this weekend for ledouche shirts, and those ties I recently purchased have me thinking about a million other ideas… We’ll see how it all turns out soon.
Quit being a bitch, old man winter; Bring on the pain! Matt wants to make some snow Angels!
