UK Reggae artist David Victor Emmanuel, better known as Smiley Culture, died of a stab wound today following a police raid on his home. Police arrived at his house with a warrant prepared to make an arrest when the injuries occurred. One would have to assume that it is connected to the charges of conspiracy to supply cocaine in September 2010. While it is unclear how Emmanuel’s injury took place, it’s hard to believe that it was self-inflicted.

My computer, after a few weeks of annoying freeze ups, finally gave out last Wednesday. I had been expecting this to happen for some time, and should have taken a few minutes to figure out what was causing all of the trouble but ended up waiting for things to fail.
