I need variety in the things I do. Without it, I go completely nuts. The projects below are how I like to spend my free time. They allow me to work on ideas unrelated to my 9-5 job, work with different technologies, and keep my skills sharp.
Mellow Brand Gourmet Marshmallows
These aren’t the marshmallows you roasted around the campfire as a kid. These are fluffy, moist and come in tons of unique flavors including peppermint, caramel, black raspberry, coconut and cotton candy. They go perfectly with our hot chocolate mix or as a part of your own recipe.
Clothing for the modern man who just doesn’t give a fuck. Tees, etched flasks, neck ties, pocket squares and wallets. All hand made. It’s like the weird guy in my office’s bathroom once said to me, “It’s like you fully understand what society expects of you, yet you mock it,” with an odd stare as he dried his hands, of course. Yes, that really happened.
Cooking for geeks. Decompiling and reconstructing recipes, enhancing taste and reducing overhead. Built on top of Drupal, this project has been really valuable since I can apply concepts and what I learn directly to projects at work. I’m hoping to have the site up and running sometime in 2010.
GiFEED takes data from RSS feeds and creates animated gif files for use in forums, email signatures or whatever else you can think of. Originally written in 2007 and rediscovered in 2010, this works fine as-is, but may be updated in the future.
